Surviving the Oppressor

When the oppressed is being oppressed openly, with nobody stepping in to protect, survival instincts kick in.

Some will have already felt the shift and are moving with it...

Others may be attaching more deeply to the very systems that remove freedom and allow harm to continue...

What is noticeable is that many women (and some men) are now refusing to stay in survival mode.

Thriving, not Surviving

Those that are doing to work are now stepping into a space where:

  • Misalignment is recognised immediately, and some are calling this out as it's experienced

  • Where respect is absent, compassion is replaced by clarity

  • The absence of reciprocacy is ending connections fast

  • Boundaries are becoming non-negotiable, discernment is rising quickly

  • It is easy to spot performative leadership over authenticity

  • Other people's silence is experienced as shame or guilt, and is no longer internalised as worthiness

  • Many are refusing to provide reassurance that softens shame or guilt that remains unexamined and isn’t theirs to carry

  • Some are refusing to shrink or contract to make others feel comfortable

  • Many are now refusing to stay in places they're not met (inc. workplaces, relationships, family dynamics and friendships)

Resistance

For those resisting the shift, you may be feeling or witnessing:

  • Old survival strategies are no longer holding

  • Inner friction and identity questions rising

  • A lack of accountability at the top, ripples fast across entire organisations

  • A lack of trust in self is mirrored in the external environment

  • Inner dissonance being mirrored in the environment as a lack of transparency from others

  • Attrition spikes, with an increase of people taking the risk to leave with no other role

Truth rises faster than it can be processed.

People may hold a lie to the truth.

Some people run from the mirror, others run from the truth.

  • To protect the ego.

  • To remain inside the victim triangle.

  • To blame "unfairness".

  • To blame the truth teller.

But safety is felt, not faked.

The injustice loop ends when you choose to observe it…
